Dieses Jahr haben wir uns dazu entschlossen eine Jahresendfeier zu machen. Fühlt euch daher herzlich eingeladen, am 28. Dezember ab 19 Uhr im Kafe Marat (Thalkirchnerstr. 102) mit uns einen entspannten, queeren Abend zu verbringen! 💫

Es gibt sehr feines veganes Gulasch mit Cevapcici, Glühwein, alkoholfreien Punsch und kalte Getränke. Alles auf Spendenbasis!

Bitte testet euch, bevor ihr kommt. Macht das am besten zeitnah davor – notfalls gibt es auch noch Selbsttests vor Ort.

This year we have decided to have an end-of-the-year party.

Willkommen zurück zum ersten Queer Kafe nach der Sommerpause! Ab 19h erwarten dich Spiel, Spaß und Heiterkeit beim queeren Spieleabend. Mach bei einer Runde Werwolf mit, wenn dir nach Gruppending ist. Oder such dir ein anderes Kartenspiel aus, oder verratsch dich mit Friends, oder komm zum Essen… ganz wie du magst.

QueerKafe Speed Meet

—English below—Queer Kafe Speed Meet, 27.07. 20h, Thalkirchner Str 102 Diesen Monat gibt es im Queer Kafe ein „Speed Meet“: Die Gelegenheit, neue queere Leute kennenzulernen! In 5-Minuten-Runden treffen je zwei Queers aufeinander, zum reden und austauschen. Also wie speed dating, aber ohne dating (erstmal). Alle fünf Minuten gibt es die Gelegenheit zum Durchwechseln, ihr könnt aber auch länger reden. Den genauen Ablauf erklären wir vor Ort, es wird wahrscheinlich wieder chaotisch. Für diejenigen, die nicht an den Runden teilnehmen möchten, bieten wir einen Raum mit Spielen und Rätseln an – und veganes Essen, wie immer. Die Veranstaltung findet am kommenden Donnerstag, den 27. Juli, im Kafe Marat (Thalkirchnerstr. 102) statt. Bitte macht zuhause oder bei uns am Eingang einen Covid-Test. Wir hoffen, euch alle dort zu sehen! As a group that organizes events by queer people for queer people, we present an occasion where socializing will be very much possible and welcomed under our we-tried-to-simplify-it-turned-out-chaotic agenda and methods. There will be spaces for those who do not wish to participate in the rounds where games and puzzles will be present. The rounds would be about 5 minutes each, yet it is possible to extend the time if you’d like to keep the conversation going. The logistics of the event will be explained in a detailed fashion when the event is about to start. Please find the event at Kafe Marat (Thalkirchnerstr. 102) next Thursday, the 27th of July. Do, 22.06. Queerkafe: Queer History

Diesen Monat geht es im Queerkafe um queere Geschichte.
Wenn man sich die CSDs größerer Städte ansieht, kann man leicht vergessen, dass CSDs und Pride aus einem Riot hervorgingen, beim Stonewall Inn in New York. Damals wehrten sich queere und trans* People of Color und Sexarbeitende gegen Polizeigewalt, heute läuft die Polizei auf der Parade mit. Müssen wir uns mehr auf unsere Geschichte berufen?

Leider wurde auch queere Geschichte oft aus einer weißen, cis-schwullesbischen Perspektive erzählt. Wie können wir eine radikale queere Geschichte schreiben? Als Grundlage wird es einen Vortrag zur queeren Geschichte in Deutschland geben. Danach wollen wir diskutieren:

Wie kann radikale queere Geschichte aussehen?
Welche Lücken gibt es in der Geschichte?
Wie gedenken wir den queers, die vor uns kamen und kämpften?
Was bringt uns Geschichte für unsere Gegenwart und Zukunft?
Hoffnung, Verzweiflung, Inspiration?

This month’s Queerkafe will be about queer history. If you look at Pride in big cities today, it’s easy to forget that it originated from a riot, at Stonewall Inn in New York. Then, queer and trans People of Color and sex workers defended their communities against police violence, now police is part of the parade. Do we need to emphasize our history more?
Unfortunately, queer history has until recently been told from a white cis perspective. How can we write radical queer history? As a basis, there will be a talk about queer history in germany. Then we want to start a discussion:
What does radical queer history look like?
What are the gaps in history?
How do we remember queers that came and fought before us?
How can history help us with the present and future?
Hope, despair, inspiration?
If you’re interested, please join us. If you know a story from queer history that is meaningful to you, please tell us about it!

Anlässlich zum Pride Month und CSD im kommenden Monat wollen wir euch am 25. Mai ab 19 Uhr dazu einladen, gemeinsam mit uns einen entspannten Abend lang an Ideen & und Vorbereitungen zu werkeln.

Was würden wir uns anders wünschen als in den letzten Jahren? Was können wir selbst organisieren? Und mit wem? Setzt euch zusammen, malt und bastelt und tauscht euch aus 😉

Viele Bastelmaterialien haben wir vor Ort, wer übrigen Pappkarton in geeigneter Schilder-Größe hat darf sich gern aufgefordert fühlen, diesen mitzubringen.

Wie immer wird es veganes Essen und kalte Getränke auf Spendenbasis geben.

Bitte macht auch dieses mal vorher oder vor Ort einen Schnelltest 👍🏼

With Pride Month and CSD coming up next month, we’d like to invite you to join us for a chill evening of working on ideas and preparations on May 25, from 7pm.

What would we want to be different than in the past years? What can we organize ourselves? And with who? Hang out together, paint and craft and exchange ideas 😉

A lot of craft materials are available from us, but anyone who has cardboard of a suitable size (for making signs) lying around is very welcome to bring it.

As always, there will be vegan food and cold drinks available on a donation basis.

Diesen Monat hat das QueerKafe einen spanneden Vortrag für euch (Teaser weiter unten).

Offen ist ab 19 Uhr, der Vortrag beginnt um 20 Uhr.

Wie immer gibt es veganes Essen und kühle Getränke gegen Spende.

Jüdische Stimmen werden in Deutschland immernoch zu wenig gehört – LGBTIQ*-jüdische noch weniger. Der Verein Keshet Deutschland e.V. hat es sich zur aufgabe gemacht, jüdischen Queers einen SaferSpace und eine Community zu bieten, und gleichzeitig in jüdischen als auch LGBTIQ*-Räumen darüber aufzuklären, wie es ist, als jüdisch und LGBTIQ* in Deutschland zu leben. Nicoleta Mena, Co-Vorsitzende des ehrenamtlichen Vereins, wird hierzu einen Einblick geben.

Jewish voices are still not heard enough in Germany – LGBTIQ* Jewish voices even less. The association Keshet Deutschland e.V. has made it its mission to provide a safeer space and community for Jewish queers, and at the same time to educate in Jewish as well as LGBTIQ* spaces about what it is like to live as Jewish and LGBTIQ* in Germany. Nicoleta Mena, co-chair of the volunteer association, will provide insight on this.

Gemeinsam schauen wir uns einen Spielfilm über die Geschichte der Gruppe „Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners“ an. Diese unterstütze Bergarbeiter:innen beim Streik.

Den Film werden wir je nach Sprachbedürfnissen auf Deutsch oder Englisch und mit Untertitel zeigen. Er dauert 120 Minuten.

Für alle die den Abend lieber gemütlich mit Gesprächen verbringen wollen, gibt es parallel zu dem Film auch dazu die Möglichkeit.

Und es gibt Popcorn!

Wir öffnen um 19:00 Uhr, der Film startet um 20:30.

Wie immer gibt es veganes Essen und kühle Getränke gegen Spende.

Weil Arbeitskampf und Solidarität immernoch wichtig ist, gibt es an dem Abend die Möglichkeit für den „Berufsverband erotische
und sexuelle Dienstleistungen e.V.“ (https://www.berufsverband-sexarbeit.de) zu Spenden.

Testet euch bitte Zuhause auf Corona oder nutzt einen von unsern Tests am Eingang.

Together we will watch a film about the history of the group „Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners“. They supported miners during a strike.

We will show the film in German or English and with subtitles, depending on language needs. It lasts 120 minutes.

For all those who prefer to spend the evening cozy with nice conversations, there will also be the opportunity to do so parallel to the film.

And there will be popcorn!

23.02., 19:00 QueerKafe – Vortrag zu HIV-Prävention

At the 23th of February there is another queercafe at Cafe Marat (Thalkirchener Str. 102, Munich).
Well open our gates at 19 p.m. for a evening with vegan food and drinks on donation basis and on top a HIV prevention talk provided by PLUS (http://plusde.org/). The talk will be in English but we provide translation into German.
Entry only if you’ve covid tested at home or do one of the tests we provide.
To get you interrested here’s a short glimps at the perspective of the talk:
Lack of full engagement of queer and trans* refugee community is a big barrier in the success of AIDS response. We need countless participation of queer and trans* community activism and solidarity.
This will paramount in providing people affected by HIV with information, service, social protection and Hope. However, we need to educate our communities about the availability of different HIV prevention products and treatments. That will creat demand for the services and in addition promote the uptake of the HIV services.

Am 23. Februar gibt es wieder ein Queercafe im Cafe Marat (Thalkirchener Str. 102, München).
Wir öffnen um 19 Uhr unsere Pforten für einen Abend mit veganem Essen und Getränken auf Spendenbasis und obendrein einem HIV-Präventionsvortrag von PLUS (http://plusde.org/). Der Talk ist auf Englisch, es wird aber einen Übersetzung ins Deutsche geben.
Eintritt nur, wenn ihr euch zuhause covid getestet habt oder vor Ort einen unserer Tests verwendet.
Um euch neugierig zu machen, hier ein kurzer Einblick in die Perspektive des Vortrags:
Das mangelnde Engagement der queeren und trans* Flüchtlingsgemeinschaft ist ein großes Hindernis im Kampf gegen AIDS. Es braucht unzählige queere und trans* Beteiligungen, die besonders wichtig sind, um HIV-positiven Menschen Informationen, Dienstleistungen, sozialen Schutz und Hoffnung zu bieten.

Auch dieses Jahr haben wir uns wieder dazu entschlossen, das Queerkafe im Dezember nicht am regulären Termin, sondern während der Weihnachtsfeiertage zu öffnen.
Darum fühlt euch herzlich eingeladen, am 26. Dezember ab 19 Uhr mit uns einen entspannten, queeren Abend zu verbringen! 💖
Es gibt Glühwein und alkoholfreien Punsch, und natürlich auch veganes Essen und kalte Getränke. Alles auf Spendenbasis!
Es gilt 2G+ (geimpft/genesen und getestet). Macht am besten zeitnah davor einen Test, notfalls gibt es auch noch welche vor Ort.
